The Coronavirus outbreak has killed at least 1,000 people and more than 40,000 infected globally. Due to the spread of the Coronavirus in China, is caused a delay of resuming operations. China government has extended the official start date again. Thus, Amtek would like to inform and update the current situation as follows:
- The Status of Amtek Plants:
Taiwan production plant / office: 100% back on duty
China production plant: 40%-50% labors back on duty
China warehouse: Most of labors are back on duty tally the goods and able to arrange urgent shipments if needed. - The Impact of Transportation:
The forwarders and logistics operators have back on duty. However, they remind the shipments might be stuck in the China Custom. If urgent orders, we could arrange priority express or air cargo instead of sea freight.
- Current Capacity of Amtek Plants:
Taiwan production plant / office: 100% recovered
China production plant: 60% recovered
*A special notice that Amtek could produce some series of Pin Headers, Pin Sockets and Box Headers in Taiwan!
- The Situation of Supply Chain:
The terminal extrude and forming supplier: has back to work already, but the capacity still under-checking.
The insulator supplier: has back to work already, but the capacity still under-checking.
The electrical plating supplier: has recovered continually and expected fully capacity start from Feb.17th.
